Dear Learner,
Thank you for enrolling on the Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry.
On behalf of MJK Training, I would like to welcome you to the course and provide an overview of what you can expect during your training.
This qualification has been designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to work effectively and professionally within the private security industry. Throughout the course, you will cover a range of subjects including:
• Physical Intervention Skills
• Counter Terrorism Awareness
• Searching Procedures
• Protecting Vulnerable People
• Responding to Spiking Incidents
• Emergency Procedures and Incident ManagementThe course is intensive and attendance is mandatory for all scheduled training days. Learners are expected to arrive on time each day and actively participate in both classroom-based and practical activities.
Prior to attending the course, please ensure that you have completed any required pre-course learning and submitted all relevant documentation. This includes:
• ACT Awareness (Blue Certificate) See Prerequisites below
• Security Awareness (Red Certificate) See Prerequisites below
• Any required Highfield e-learning modules
• Valid photographic identification
• Emergency First Aid at Work certificate (where applicable)First Aid Requirement – Door Supervisor Refresher Course
To enrol on the Door Supervisor Refresher Course, all learners must hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), First Aid at Work (FAW), or equivalent first aid qualification that has a minimum of 12 months remaining before its expiry date on the first day of training. This requirement is set by the awarding organisation and forms part of the eligibility criteria for the qualification. Learners who do not meet this requirement will need to complete an appropriate first aid qualification before attending the refresher course. Evidence of the first aid certificate must be provided prior to the course start date.
Training will normally run from 09:00 until 16:00 each day, with scheduled breaks throughout the day.

Prerequisites for a Door Supervisor Refresher Course
Before attending a Door Supervisor Refresher Course, learners should have the following:
✅ A current or recently expired SIA Door Supervisor Licence
The refresher qualification is for existing Door Supervisors who are renewing their licence.✅ A valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate (or equivalent)
The SIA requires learners to hold a valid first aid qualification before attending the refresher course. Many training providers and awarding organisations recommend that the certificate has at least 12 months remaining before expiry.✅ ACT Awareness Certificate
Must be completed before the course and usually within the last 12 months.ACT Awareness (Blue Certificate)
