Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) provides learners with the knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to a range of workplace accidents and medical emergencies. The course covers CPR, use of an AED, managing unconscious casualties, choking, bleeding, shock, and minor injuries, ensuring learners can act quickly and confidently in critical situations.
It is ideal for workplaces with lower risk environments or as a designated first aider, helping to create a safer environment and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
Prerequisites for Blended Emergency First Aid at Work
Access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with internet connection
A valid email address to receive login details for the online learning
Ability to complete the online theory element before attending the practical session
Basic understanding of English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Suitable clothing and footwear for practical activities (comfortable and practical)
Physical ability to perform basic first aid techniques such as CPR on the floor
All learners must complete the online learning element prior to attending the classroom session, as this is a mandatory requirement to progress to the practical assessment.
