Staggered 6-Day Course

This comprehensive SIA-approved qualification is designed for anyone wishing to work as a Door Supervisor within the private security industry. Delivered over six staggered training days, it provides the skills and knowledge to manage security in venues such as pubs, clubs, events, and licensed premises.

Why staggered?
Training is spread across six separate dates, allowing flexibility for learners who need to balance other commitments. This format provides extra time to absorb the content and complete any pre-course online elements.
Assessment:
Combination of multiple-choice exams, practical demonstrations, and scenario-based assessments.
Successful completion allows you to apply for your SIA Door Supervisor licence— opening opportunities in nightlife security, events, Festivals, retail, and corporate settings.
To enrol on this SIA-approved course you must:
Age Requirement
Be 18 years or older on the first day of training.
Right to Work in the UK
Provide acceptable original ID documents (e.g. current passport, UK driving licence, UK birth certificate) and proof of address in line with SIA Group A & B requirements.
Emergency First Aid Qualification
Hold a valid Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate (or equivalent that meets SIA’s specification)
OR complete the EFAW training as part of the course.
The certificate must have at least 12 months’ validity on the course start date.
English Language Skills
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to a level that allows you to complete exams and practical assessments.
Providers will conduct a short initial assessment.
Pre-Course Learning & Preparation
Complete any online/blended modules supplied (e.g. Highfield e-learning for Emergency First Aid or ACT Awareness/ACT Security online training).

Bring evidence of completion (e.g. ACT Blue & Red certificates).
Fitness & Suitability
Be fit enough to take part in practical physical intervention training.
Notify the centre of any medical conditions or injuries in advance (a health questionnaire is usually required).
Photo ID and 2 x proof of address (originals, not copies).
Pen, notebook, and suitable clothing/footwear for physical skills sessions.
