The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently to a range of workplace first aid situations. Designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, this one-day qualification is ideal for low-risk workplaces or as part of a wider first aid provision.
Learners will develop the ability to assess incidents, manage an unresponsive casualty, provide effective CPR, use an AED, and treat injuries such as bleeding, burns, and fractures. The course also covers managing shock, choking, seizures, and other common medical emergencies.
By the end of the training, candidates will:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a workplace first aider.
Be able to assess incidents and provide immediate and appropriate care.
Demonstrate essential life-saving techniques and safe use of an AED.
Gain a recognised qualification valid for 3 years.
This course ensures participants are equipped to take swift, safe, and effective action in emergency situations, helping to protect colleagues and meet legal compliance.
